Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026.
This policy explains how SingMyLyrics collects and uses information when you visit the site, sign in, generate a song, or buy credits. Contact us at [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
Information we collect
To generate a song, you must sign in. You can use Google or create an account with email and password. For Google sign-in we receive the account name, email address, profile picture, and stable account ID; Google does not share your password with us. For email accounts we store a one-way password hash and never store the original password.
We store the title, lyrics or theme you submit, selected style, voice, instrumental setting, quality tier, generation status, audio URL, and credit transactions so we can provide your song library, support the service, and prevent abuse. Do not submit lyrics or personal information that you do not have the right to share.
Our hosting and security systems may process IP address, browser data, request times, and error logs. We use IP-based limits to reduce abuse.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, create and deliver songs, maintain balances and orders, provide customer support, secure the site, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers
Google provides Google sign-in. Our audio generation provider processes submitted song inputs to create audio. A separate language service may process a theme, style, and language when the optional lyrics-writing feature is enabled. Our hosting provider stores the application and server logs. Stripe processes payments and payment security when credits are purchased. These providers receive the data needed for their stated service.
Storage and retention
Account, song, and transaction records are stored in our database while needed to provide the service, meet accounting requirements, or resolve disputes. Provider-hosted audio may expire, so download songs you want to keep. The browser may retain a cache of your language, consent choice, and recent song list; the account database is the source of truth for credits and signed-in song history.
Cookies and local storage
The httpOnly sml_session cookie keeps you signed in. It is essential to the requested account service. We also use local storage for language preference, cookie consent, and a local song-list cache. The Google sign-in script loads only after you accept the optional consent prompt. Declining optional consent does not delete an existing essential session cookie.
Your choices and rights
You can sign out, clear local storage, decline optional consent, or ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your account information by emailing [email protected]. We may retain records when a law, payment dispute, fraud investigation, or security need requires it.
Children and changes
The service is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to online services. We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
